Begin your journey with a visit to the largest salt fields in Cambodia, where you’ll learn about salt production and witness the unique traditional method of harvesting by hand (available during the dry season only).
Continue into the countryside to experience authentic Cambodian village life. Along the way, you’ll discover the daily routines of local farmers and learn about their seasonal work, including growing rice, vegetables, and tropical fruits—especially the famous durian.
Next, visit a Limestone cave called Phnom Kbal Romeas “Rhinoceros Head Hill” in Khmer which was inhabited during the Neolithic times (5000-3000BC). The brick fragments indicate that the temple was built in the cave and it is believed to be an important place of spirit worship, which continues to this day. There are several cave that can be accessed with assistance from local guides, and continue to a large reservoir known as “Secret Lake,” built during the Khmer Rouge regime to support rice irrigation. Surrounded by lush greenery, it’s a peaceful spot perfect for relaxing and capturing beautiful photos.
End the tour with a guided visit to a pepper farm (La Plantation Farm) . At La Plantation, guests will spend approximately 1 hour and 45 minutes visiting the farm. Upon arrival, visitors can choose between a self-guided tour (included) or a Guide-Tour. The Guide-Tour costs $5/person extra (not included).
