This full day tour offers you a chance to explore the beauty of Kuang Si Waterfall by trekking through forests to villages to reach the waterfall. Being with this tour, you will not only enjoy the loveliness and magnificence of nature but also enjoy yourself with hiking and swimming.

The total trekking distance is about 9 km with medium difficulty. The trail can be slippery when it’s wet.

You will be transferred to the nearby valley located at the southeast of Luang Prabang. Arriving at the valley, you will head to the Long Lao Village which is the starting point of your coming exciting trekking tour.

Before beginning trekking, you will spend time walking around the village to explore its lifestyle and culture. This village is inhabited by Khamu and Hmong people. You can observe their daily activities and even talk to them with the support of the guide. In addition, in the village, you will see a work of the Fair Trek project, which is a beautiful clay-built bungalow. It is used for overnight tours to experience local village life and culture.

After exploring the village, you continue the trekking journey by getting into the mountainous Lao countryside of Luang Prabang. On the way, you will go by the orchards, rice paddy fields, and vegetable gardens before reaching mountains with fairly wild jungle scenery and some graded climbs.

You then will take a rest to have lunch.

After lunch, you will start your afternoon adventure by trekking to the crystal clear Kuang Si Waterfall. You will trek along an exciting forest trail to the beautiful and refreshing pools of Kuang Si Waterfall. Arriving here, you will enjoy yourself with plenty of time swimming. In addition, in the Kuang Si Waterfall Park, you will be taken to visit the Kuang Si Bear Rescue Sanctuary. Here, you will be given a lot of useful and interesting information about the Asian sun and moon bears.

Finishing discovering the park, in the late afternoon, you will back to Luang Prabang. On the way, you will pay a visit to an interesting small Hmong Museum built by locals to show their life and culture.

The tour ends when you arrive at Luang Prabang.
