You will meet the locals from unspoiled villages (Mungoni and Pete Village) and get to know their culture, their daily activities like grinding millets with mortar pestles, thatching coconut palms, local handicrafts, and much more. Also, you will see locals climbing coconut trees while singing a local song (Jambo Bwana), and coconut products like, rope, baskets, poles coconut palm caps. Visiting the seaweed farms, different plantations, Primary and Secondary schools, local herbs doctor (Mganga), and a local clinic. Mangroves in Zanzibar play a great role in stabilizing the shorelines, preventing erosion, and protecting the land from waves and storms. We will use a boat to explore different types of mangroves that grow in Zanzibar.
