The Central Highlands of Vietnam offers some incredible untouched terrain where we explore jungles, mountains, and remote hill-tribe villages. We have taken the transfer’ out of the journey between Hue and Hoi An, thrown in some awesome adventures, including dramatic mountain climbs and a stay in the remote BhoHoong ethnic minority village. This turns a five-hour commute into two of the most memorable days of your Vietnam experience. After you have cruised along the Ho Chi Minh Trail and splashed around in a hidden waterfall, we think you’ll agree this is one adventure that will stay with you for a lifetime!

On our first day, we leave the flatlands of Hue behind and climb into the Mountains via the A Shau Valley, a valley of great significance in the Vietnam War. On the way, we stop at a beautiful waterfall where you can enjoy a swim or simply enjoy the stunning vista. Making our way further up the mountain toward the village of BhoHoong, we enjoy a picnic lunch in the shade. BhoHoong is a traditional Co Tu and it’s our accommodation for the evening. Little has changed in the past hundred years in BhoHoong and it is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the natural beauty of Central Vietnam. On arrival, we enjoy lunch and then have time to explore the village or take a refreshing swim. Dinner in the evening is a traditional Co Tu feast followed by a gong and dance performance by the residents of the village. This is a great opportunity to really experience the culture of the Co Tu people. Afterward, retreat to your stilted Co Tu hut where the serene setting and clear mountain air will lull you to sleep.

In the morning, wake up to the sounds of the village coming to life. Enjoy breakfast and a hot cup of coffee as you watch the morning activities of the Co Tu, heading to the fields and preparing the days meals. After breakfast we enjoy a light village walk, with a local resident guiding us, allows us to explore the village and unlock its cultural secrets. We then bid our hosts farewell, making our way to the hamlet of Trung Mang where we enjoy lunch with the family of the former king of the Co Tu people. After our relaxing lunch, we continue our descent towards the coast, stopping along the way to explore historical sites and a Cham temple.
