What you can expect

We have had the pleasure of introducing Japanese calligraphy to many people from around the world. In addition to teaching how to write and how to use the tools, I also share the fascinating stories behind Japanese charact .

The Japanese language uses three types of scripts: Kanji, Hiragana, and Katakana.Kanji are ideographic characters—each one is like a picture, filled with deep meaning.Hiragana and Katakana are phonetic scripts, beautifully flowing forms created by the Japanese people based on Chinese characters.

Each script reflects the spirit of Japanese culture and aesthetics.
Why not pick up a brush and experience the 2,000-year history of Japanese writing through your own senses?
