Embark on a 2-day adventure in the Amazon rainforest. Visit a wildlife reserve, see a variety of animals, and enjoy a thrilling zipline experience. Stay in a jungle lodge and learn about the local flora and fauna.
On the first day, be picked up from a designated meeting point in Iquitos and transfer to the port to board a boat. Cruise along the Nanay River to the Amazon River. Stop at Fundo Pedrito to see animals such as paiches, pirañas, caimanes, tortugas, loros, guacamayos, anacondas, and the famous Victoria Regia plant.
Arrive at the jungle lodge and visit the 26-meter-high “MIRADOR” for a wonderful view of the jungle. Enjoy a thrilling zipline experience, cross 2 hanging bridges, climb a net, and rappel down from 25 meters. After lunch, take a canoe ride with a professional guide to see the local flora and fauna.
In the evening, go on a walking or canoeing tour to see tarantulas, cicadas, spiders, and mantises. Listen to the sounds of owls and ayaymamas, as well as the sounds of nocturnal animals. Spend the night at the lodge.
On the second day, go on a sunrise walk to see the local birds in all their glory. After breakfast, visit the indigenous community of Yaguas to see a performance of songs and dances and buy some beautiful crafts.
Next, visit the Reserva de Animales Libres to see monkeys, macaws, parrots, sloths, and the feared anaconda or boa constrictor. After lunch, return to Iquitos.
