  • Day 1: Cusco - Km 104 - Puerta del Sol - Aguas Calientes

    Start your adventure with pick-up from your hotel in Cusco and transport by van to the train station in Ollantaytambo. Ride a train to km 104 (Chachabamba), the starting point of your hike.

    Begin your trek with a visit to the archeological site of Chachabamba. Continue with a moderate 3 to 4-hour ascent to the impressive Wiñay Wayna complex, where you'll enjoy a picnic.

    Hike through a section of high jungle to the Inti Punku (Sun Gate), where you'll have your first panoramic view of Machu Picchu. Descend to the citadel to take the classic photos.

    Finally, take a coach to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu Town) for dinner and an overnight stay at a reserved hotel.

    Day 2: Machu Picchu - Drop-off in Cusco

    Take a bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu for a guided tour. Enjoy some free time to explore the site on your own before taking a bus back to the city.

    Return train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo, followed by a van transfer back to Cusco.
