What you can expect
7:30 Depart from JR Tokyo Station, Marunouchi North Exit
8:00 Depart from Shinjuku MODE Academy
We will first arrive at Mount Fuji 5th Station, located midway up the mountain at an elevation of 2,305 meters. As Japan's highest peak, Mount Fuji presents a distinctly different atmosphere whether viewed from afar or up close. From this closest possible vantage point, you can look up at the summit and experience the mountain's awe-inspiring majesty. On clear, cloudless days, you can gaze down upon the surrounding scenery, including Lake Kawaguchi, in a sweeping panorama. When clouds swirl around the slopes, you will be treated to a spectacular view of a magnificent sea of clouds.
Next, we will visit Oshino Hakkai. These are eight clear spring ponds formed by the filtration of Mount Fuji's snowmelt through layers of volcanic rock. Oshino Hakkai is renowned for its pristine natural environment. The shimmering, wave-kissed waters blend harmoniously with the beautiful silhouette of Mount Fuji, creating a scene of breathtaking beauty that attracts countless photographers from far and wide. Oshino Hakkai is officially designated as a Nationally Designated Natural Monument.
Finally, you may choose between a shopping trip to an outlet or a hot spring bath offering a view of Mount Fuji.
Option 1: Gotemba Premium Outlets (approx. 2 hours – no hot spring)
Here you can enjoy a panoramic view of the entire Mount Fuji skyline while shopping. The outlet is home to many flagship stores of famous Japanese domestic brands, as well as luxury labels such as Gucci and Prada with a wide selection of styles at affordable prices. Shopaholics should not miss this destination.
Option 2: Day-trip hot spring bathing experience (approx. 2 hours – no outlet visit)
The hot spring is located in a separate area accessible by elevator from the parking lot, as vehicles cannot drive directly to the facility. If you choose the hot spring bath, we will provide a shuttle service to Konohananoyu, a hot spring bathhouse newly opened at the end of 2019. The name of the hot spring is derived from the goddess “Konohana Sakuya Hime,” who is enshrined at Mount Fuji and Fujisan Sengen Taisha.
15:00 Return to Tokyo metropolitan area. Please note that the return time is for reference only. Depending on factors such as a smooth itinerary and favorable traffic conditions, the return may occur earlier than scheduled.
(Approximate travel time: 1.5 to 2 hours)
17:00 Arrive at JR Tokyo Station, Marunouchi North Exit / Shinjuku MODE Academy, bringing this enjoyable day tour to a happy conclusion.
