Embark on a 7-hour speedboat tour from Vila do Abraão to the Paradise Islands of Angra dos Reis, with five stops throughout the day at some of the region’s most scenic islands, including Cataguases, Botinas and Gipóia (Piedade and Dentista beaches). At the end of the tour, the speedboat returns to the pier in Vila do Abraão.
This is a self-guided experience led by a local captain. At each stop, you will be informed how much time you have and can choose how to use that time — swimming, snorkeling, walking along the shore or simply relaxing — while the captain and crew remain on board. The tour is run in Portuguese, but many visitors from abroad still join and enjoy it, as the focus is on free time and independent exploration rather than detailed commentary. This format tends to work especially well for international guests, who can easily follow the simple structure and focus on enjoying each stop in their own way.
During the navigation, the speedboat crosses the waters of Baía da Ilha Grande and the Paradise Islands area of Angra dos Reis. The itinerary is centered on islands and beaches with typically clear, sheltered waters that are ideal for swimming and snorkeling. Along the way, you will see small islands with white sand and shallow turquoise water, coves surrounded by Atlantic Forest and views of the coastal mountains on the mainland.
The last stop of the day is scheduled at a location with a restaurant where you may choose to have lunch (optional; meals are not included). The exact place can change from day to day and is chosen by the captain based on sea and weather conditions. If you prefer not to eat at the restaurant, you can use this interval to swim nearby, relax or explore the surroundings.
In most locations, access to land is done directly via the sand or in shallow water, as there are no piers at these stops. Depending on the sea conditions, the boat may need to remain at a safe distance from the shore. In these situations, reaching land might involve stepping into waist-deep water or swimming a short distance. Guests who do not feel comfortable entering the water always have the option to stay on board during the stop.
Please note that the itinerary and the order of stops may change according to sea and weather conditions, with safety as the main priority.
