What you can expect

Your adventure will begin with pick-up in San Salvador and transport to Cerro Verde National Park, where you'll start the guided hike to the Santa Ana Volcano (Ilamatepec), the tallest volcano in El Salvador. During the ascent, you'll enjoy breathtaking views of mountains, forests, and Lake Coatepeque. On reaching the top, you'll be able to admire the stunning turquoise lagoon inside the crater.

After the descent, we'll head to the archaeological site of Tazumal in Chalchuapa, where you'll discover one of the most important Mayan ruins in El Salvador and learn about the history and culture of this ancient civilization.

Finally, we will travel to the city of Santa Ana to explore its beautiful historic center. You'll visit Parque Libertad, the majestic Cathedral of Santa Ana, and the National Theater, one of the country's most important historical buildings.
