You don't need to be a climber to try the most unique winter adventure in the Yukon! The Ice Tower Tour is an accessible introduction to ice climbing located minutes from Whitehorse at the Mt Sima Ski Hill. This activity welcomes adventurers of all ages and fitness levels, making it perfect for families and beginners. We provide all the gear you need including climbing boots, crampons, harnesses, helmets, and ice axes. We have a wide selection of sizes to ensure you have a good fit for your first ice climbing experience. Our friendly local guide will teach you the basics of ice climbing and coach you as you ascend the ice towers. These towers are reconstructed every winter; when conditions allow, they feature a zipline, ice caves to explore, and a roped ice trek that circumnavigates the entire tower. Spectators are welcome to join the fun at the base with provided micro-spikes for a fee. A crackling outdoor campfire and a cozy wall tent with a warm wood stove complete the experience.
