Activity itinerary

Come explore a beautiful Alaskan forest with some of your traditional working Alaskan Huskies. We will hike about 2 miles from your homestead into a boreal forest and meander through a grove of birch and aspen overlooking the Goldstream Valley. Your guide will point out the types of trees, plants and animal tracks. You might see moose, fox, birds and other small mammals indigenous to Alaska. For this activity you will be fitted with a harness that is used for skijoring with dogs, so that you can be in fully immersed in walking one of your sled dogs. You will need to be physically able to walk or hike approximately 2 miles with minimal elevation gain, and be comfortable around dogs for this activity. Kids under 12 years of age and those less physically capable can follow along with your party and the guide without actually handling a dog. The sunset time slot at 6:30pm has an option of adding on a barbecue once back at the homestead. Please inquire if you are interested in adding that option.
