Board a dragon boat after being picked up from your hotel in Hue. Take a 30-minute boat cruise on the Perfume River to visit the oldest pagoda in Hue: the Thien Mu Pagoda. It is the oldest religious structure in Hue and is also one of the most impressive. It was constructed during the 17th century to worship the legend of a local woman with spiritual connections.
After seeing the Pagoda, head to the Imperial Citadel to explore a complex of ancient royal palaces and temples that date back to the 11th century. Learn about the history of the Nguyen dynasty and the culture of Vietnam and Hue as you walk through the vast grounds and see the various structures.
Continue to visit Dong Ba Market, where you can watch locals buying and selling goods. Get dropped off back at your hotel in Hue at the end of the tour.
