Starting at Hotel Hacienda Guachipelin, this one-day Guanacaste adventure begins with a 45-minute hike through a stunning forest trail near the entrance to Las Pailas, Rincon de la Vieja National Park. Along the way, La Oropendola Waterfall drops 25 meters into a turquoise pool, perfect for a refreshing swim, with a short stretch through the river leading to the falls.
After relaxing at the waterfall, you'll return to Hacienda Guachipelin on horseback, riding mostly through forest trails with brief stretches on the hacienda's roads. An experienced sabanero guides the ride, and safety helmets are required for all riders.
