Your 3-day adventure begins with pickup from your hotel in Hohhot's inner ring area. Your first stop is the Ulanqab Volcano Geological Park, home to a cluster of volcanic cones including the well-preserved 5th volcano covered in greenery and the striking black 6th volcano. You will have time to explore each site, take memorable photos, and even try on an astronaut suit for a unique space-themed picture. The park’s rugged terrain offers a dramatic contrast to the grasslands that follow.
After completing the Day 1 volcanic exploration, you will be transferred to your overnight accommodation near the Wulanhada Volcano area.
You will check in and rest in a quiet countryside setting close to the volcanic landscape.
On the second day, you travel to the Huizhuo Grassland, one of Inner Mongolia's most beautiful flower grasslands. Upon arrival, you are greeted with a traditional Mongolian welcome ceremony featuring a toast of fermented mare's milk. From there, you head into the Huanghuagou Scenic Area, a high-altitude alpine meadow known for its wildflowers and rolling hills during the summer months. You will have several hours to walk through the golden blossoms and enjoy the fresh mountain air.
After the Day 2 activities, you will return to Hohhot and check in at your city hotel.
You can enjoy the evening at leisure in the city center with convenient access to restaurants and transport.
The final day takes you to the Xiangshawan Desert, a 5A-rated scenic area where the sands sing when disturbed. You ride the desert cable car and explore the Xiansha Island, offering a variety of sand-based activities and entertainment. The soft dunes and endless horizon create a memorable end to your journey.
This tour includes a Chinese-speaking driver-guide who uses a translator device to provide English explanations throughout the trip. Vehicle transportation is provided in a comfortable car or business van depending on group size. Breakfast is included on the second and third mornings. Other meals are at your own expense, and your driver-guide can recommend local restaurants. The tour concludes with drop-off either at your hotel within Hohhot's inner ring or at Dazhao Temple.
