Hiroshima didn't start from zero after the war. The vibrant city you see today is built upon centuries of history and culture dating back to the era of the Samurai. This tour is designed to let you experience that living heritage.

We will step away from the tourist crowds to walk through quiet, local neighborhoods and visit small, traditional shops. We will also visit the Memorial Cathedral for World Peace, a hidden architectural masterpiece built after the war, filled with deep spiritual history and timeless craftsmanship.

Flexible Start Time: Need a different start time? I can usually start between 9:30 AM and 11:00 AM.

Hiroshima Station pickup is available upon request. I can also help with practical matters like storing your luggage or buying return train tickets. Please feel free to ask!

Catholic Noboricho Church, Memorial Cathedral for World Peace

Memorial Cathedral for World Peace was constructed to commemorate the victims of the atomic bombing and to pray for world peace. It is the first post-war building to be designated as a Important Cultural Property.
