Day 1: Start of the Trek
Your trek begins in Senaru or Sembalun, depending on the route you choose. Senaru is the more common starting point for the Rinjani trek.
You'll meet your guide and porters who will assist you during the trek.
Start the hike through dense rainforests, and after several hours of trekking, you'll reach the first campsite, typically Pos 2 or Pos 3.
Spend the night at the campsite, enjoy a meal prepared by your porters, and rest up for the next day's challenges.

Day 2: Summit Day
You'll wake up very early in the morning (around 2-3 AM) to begin the challenging ascent to the summit.
Hiking in the dark with headlamps, you'll make your way to the summit of Mount Rinjani, which stands at approximately 3,726 meters (12,224 feet) above sea level.
The climb is steep and can be physically demanding, but the breathtaking sunrise views from the summit are well worth the effort.
After reaching the summit and taking in the panoramic views, you'll descend back to your campsite for a well-deserved breakfast.
After breakfast, you'll continue your descent to the crater rim, where you'll camp for the second night.

Day 3: Descend and Return
On the final day of the trek, you'll have breakfast and then begin your descent to the Senaru or Sembalun trailhead, depending on your chosen route.
The trail will take you through beautiful landscapes, including the Segara Anak Lake and hot springs.
After several hours of descending, you'll reach the trailhead, where you'll say goodbye to your guides and porters.
Typically, you'll be transported back to your starting point, where you can rest, shower, and celebrate your successful trek.
