Come and discover a geological marvel of Reunion Island, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site! From the Village of Cilaos, we will descend the Sentier de la Chapelle. In this shady ravine bottom, we will trace the course of the geological events that formed the island. After a short ascent, we will contemplate the magnificent rocky edifice of La Chapelle, the heart of a volcanic chamber. A final descent leads us into the refreshing bed of the river, to the foot of the cliff split by the river. We will then take the picnic at the edge of the water. Return route by the same route. Hike of about 5 hours, 12 KM, 550 m of elevation gain. A good understanding of French is necessary to participate in this activity. Recommended minimum age: 12 years old.
