Join us on this remarkable journey through the southern region of the country known as “Herzegovina” or “Land of the Duke”. Along the way, you will witness cultural, historical, religious and culinary diversity which together make this part of the world one of the most attractive destinations. This incredible experience is a full day trip starting in Blagaj where the world-famous Dervish Monastery was constructed next to the largest freshwater spring in Europe. As we progress with the tour you will have the opportunity to make additional bonus stops besides what is in the itinerary. After exploring the UNESCO World Heritage Site in Pocitelj we depart to Kravice Waterfalls where you may spend your afternoon relaxing and enjoying this magnificent natural wonder. We are excited to welcome you to a group or private tour departing from either Mostar or Sarajevo. This region characterizes the diversity of its above-ground and underground waters. The source of the Buna is one of the largest and most beautiful in Europe. It is the finest example of an underground karst river. It flows out of a 200m cliff wall and single-handedly creates the Buna River. Unsurprisingly, the Ottoman sultan was impressed, and ordered a tekija to be built right next to it. This 16th century house/monastery was built for the Dervish cults and is still one of the most mystical places in all of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is open to visitors all year round and serves cold drinks, tea and Turkish coffee in a beautiful garden overlooking the source of the River.

This unique settlement, listed as a UNESCO heritage site and recent reconstruction has returned the town to its original form. It was first mentioned in 1444 but some documents show that it was built in the late 14th century upon the order of the Bosnian King Tvrtko. Besides its stunning oriental architecture and Ottoman feel, Pocitelj hosts the longest operating art colony in southeast Europe.
Kravice Falls

The gem of this region is the crystal-clear water of the Trebizat River. Southeast of Ljubuski are the Kravica Waterfalls. Stretching over 120m across and tumbling down 25m, Kravica is one of the largest waterfalls in Herzegovina and certainly the most impressive one. The waterfalls have a natural pool dug out at the base of the falls by the constant rush of water. It is a favorite local swimming hole with picnic area, café and even a place to pitch a tent if you like. The best time of year for visiting is springtime when the waterfall is at its fullest and the arid landscape turns a bright green.
