What you can expect

  • Begin your journey with a convenient pickup from your hotel, the airport, the cruise terminal, or the train station in Helsinki. Travel in a comfortable Mercedes-Benz V-Class or a similar luxury vehicle with leather seats, air conditioning, and bottled water.

As you drive east from Helsinki, listen to your driver-guide share fascinating stories about Finland’s history, landscapes, and local life. Arrive in Porvoo, a medieval town on the Porvoo River, known for its cobblestone streets, colorful wooden buildings, and iconic red riverside warehouses.

Explore the Old Town on a guided walking tour, visiting the Porvoo Cathedral, a 15th-century Lutheran landmark, and the J. L. Runeberg’s Home, a museum dedicated to Finland’s national poet. Enjoy free time to shop, relax in a café, or take photos of the charming scenery.

Optionally, stop at the Brunberg Chocolate Shop or have lunch by the river (at your own expense). On the way back to Helsinki, make a short stop to enjoy the natural surroundings. End your tour with a drop-off at your chosen location in Helsinki.
