On this guided adventure your guide will drive with you from Helsinki to the Nature Protection area of Porkkala Peninsula. This place is an enormous example of Finnish Taiga Forest and not as crowded as National Park Nuuksio. We will leave our car at a local parking place near the gate of Porkkalanniemi.
Next we will walk some 1.5 kilometers down the peninsula forest to reach the highest point at the seafront. From there, see the open sea and an old lighthouse of Rönnskär in the horizon. Feel the wind blow from the sea to your face. Relax and sit down to take in the views.
After that, we return to a firemaking site and build an open fire to grill the real Finnish Forest Food, the sausages. If you are not able to eat pork, please inform us during booking. We will also have the opportunity to cook dark coffee beside the fire - that tastes much better than filtered coffee at home!
In the forest we may see some white-tail deers, squirrels and birds; of course this is dependent on the time of the year.
Then it will be the time to drive back Helsinki to your hotel or cruise ship.
