Soar from Girdwood to the snowfield at Punch Bowl Glacier, where you can meet the dogs, play with puppies, chat with the mushers, and then zip around the snow on a sled.

Make your own way to the helipad and climb aboard a comfortable helicopter with your experienced, capable pilot. Lift off and gaze out the window as your pilot flies over the heart of the Chugach Mountains. Snap photos of the untouched wilderness as you fly above ancient glaciers, winding rivers, and dense evergreen forests, and then touch down on Punch Bowl Glacier, which sits 3,200 feet (975 m) above sea level.

Spend over an hour on this massive snowfield, where you can meet approximately 40 Alaskan Huskies, play with fluffy puppies, and talk with the mushers about how the dogs are bred and trained. Learn about the Iditarod Trail and its namesake race, during which mushers and their teams of dogs endure a journey of 1,150 miles (1,850 km) across ice and snow.
