Visit the Lipton's Seat viewpoint, named after the celebrated Thomas Lipton. He was a Scottish businessman who moved to British Ceylon in 1890. Sit on a bench next to a life-sized statue of Lipton and take in the panoramic views.

Then, visit the Dambatenne Tea Factory, built in 1890 by Sir Thomas Lipton, one of the most famous figures in tea history. Learn about the processes involved in the fermentation, rolling, drying, cutting, sieving, and grading of tea. Enjoy a cup of local tea after the tour.
