Step into the serene tea mountains of Hangzhou for a rare hands-on experience at a traditional tea workshop with over 40 years of heritage. This family-run tea brand is one of the earliest and most respected names in Longjing tea production in the region. Nestled in the first-class protected zone of West Lake Longjing, just 20 minutes from downtown Hangzhou, this hidden gem offers an immersive journey into the world of Chinese tea.

Begin your visit with a warm welcome from a local tea master, who will guide you through the cultural significance and history of Longjing green tea. It will takes around 20 mins.

Over the next 30 minutes, you'll learn to hand-fry your own fresh batch of tea leaves using traditional techniques passed down for generations by the demonstrating of the tea master. This craft is more than just a skill—it’s part of the UNESCO-listed intangible cultural heritage of China. And for another 45 minutes to 1 hour, under the careful instruction of the tea master, you'll go through every delicate step: pan-heating, shaping, and drying the leaves with your bare hands. The slow, rhythmic motion, the aroma rising from the wok, and the sound of sizzling leaves make this process as meditative as it is fascinating.

After crafting your own handmade Longjing tea, settle into a serene spot overlooking the lush tea fields to savor the fresh brew you've just created. Following this, enjoy a guided tasting of the tea brand's signature selections, offering a deeper appreciation of Longjing's nuanced flavors. Traditional Hangzhou tea snacks will also be served during the tasting, perfectly paired to complement the delicate notes of the green tea. For those interested in exploring further, premium tea tastings are available at an additional cost, allowing you to experience the finest varieties this esteemed tea farm has to offer. The tasting will last 45-60 minutes.

The experience takes about 3 hours, concludes back at the same tea house, surrounded by scenic nature, a peaceful reminder of how deeply rooted tea is in Hangzhou’s heritage. Whether you’re a tea lover or simply looking for an authentic cultural experience, this unique activity will leave you with a newfound appreciation for the art behind every cup.
