Overview

We pick you up to go to the most popular destinations in la Fortuna: the Mistico hanging bridges. It offers amazing panoramic views, impressive long and high bridges and well maintained jungle trails. This hike goes through a forest that houses plenty of wildlife. Your well equied guide will be there to spot and tell you about the flora and fauna. After about 2 1/2 hours of jungle emersion we get ready for the next stage of our trip. A short drive takes you to the el Silencio park. This is right at the foot of the main attraction of the day: the Arenal Volcano. After absorbing the magestic view from a distance we make our way through the lavafields. At the trails end you will be right at the foot of the impressive Arenal volcano. Having enjoyed this we go down and take you to our restaurant. Here we provide a healty lunch. This is also where the Relax termalitas hotsprings are. These naturaly heated pools are where we end our activity and we get ready to say goodbye and drop you off.

Arenal Hanging Bridges

We start our day by driving up the mountains near Arenal lake. At the highest point, we arrive at the MIstico hanging bridges park. Here we enjoy the wide panoramic views over the northern zone including the Volcano and the Arenal lake. Our hike takes us over 6 large bridges with some spanning up to 80 meters. These high structures get you at eye height with the abundant wildlife. Your professional guide is with you to have you spot as much as possible. Having hiked for about 2.5 hours we leave the bridges behind us and go close to the volcano.

Lake Arenal (Pass by)

Deep-blue freshwater reservoir set against lush, jungle-covered hills and rolling pastures. On clear days, the lake provides panoramic backdrop views of the iconic, perfectly conical Arenal Volcano. Misty rain-forest canopies frame the shoreline, where vibrant tropical flora, soaring water birds, and frequent rainbow displays complement the wind-rippled waters.

A short drive takes us close to the enormous lava fields that were deposited during the big 1968 eruption. Being this close gives you a good sense of the enormity of the volcano. Having hiked and enjoyed the lava field for about 1.5hours we are ready for some food. Now we take you to the rainforest cafe where you can choose from a variety of tasty dishes Having been properly fed all that is left to do is relax in the hot spring pools. You can hang out in any of the 6 pools that offer thermal water in a range of temperatures. It is a great way to end an active day and is often seen as a nice moment to share experiences with fellow travelers.
