Head to a kitchen in Florence city center, to meet the local chef. After you tie on your apron and stake out your work station, learn about the process of transforming flour and eggs into fresh, perfectly cooked pasta. Get hands-on instruction for each step, from kneading the dough to rolling it out. Try using both a rolling pin and a pasta machine to prepare a typical kind of Italian fresh pasta as fettuccine or gnocchi.

Pasta just wouldn’t be complete without sauce, so walk through 3 distinct, mouthwatering recipes to pair with each type. Afterward, take a lesson in traditional Italian dessert. Selections like panna cotta drizzled with orange sauce are sure to indulge your sweet tooth.

When you’ve sprinkled on the last garnish, your class ends with the chance to reap the tasty rewards of your labor. Serve up your masterpieces (paired with a fine Tuscan wine, of course) before heading out with a happy stomach and a new batch of take-home recipes.
