Overview

Come with us to discover the Kifune Shrine on an immersive guided tour in the heart of the Kyoto Mountains.

Going up the sacred river, you go to the Okumiya, sanctuary from the bottom, then return via the Nakamiya then finish the tour with the Honden, main building. You will thus understand the role of water and rain deities in Shinto, very important for Japan, a country surrounded by the sea and whose rain is essential for rice cultivation.

This symbolic route is punctuated by stone lanterns. The forest is moist and cool. It will do you good especially during the Japanese summer! The spiritual atmosphere of the place accompanies you, away from the hustle and bustle of the city.

On this half day you will learn more about Japan and its indigenous religion, Shinto. You will also have a good breath of fresh air away from the city. Are you coming? We're waiting for you!
