Our drive continues through the district of palaces, accommodating some truly superb residences, like “Dar Lmakhzen” Sultan’s palace with a nice panorama stop of the old Tangier and opposite Gibraltar. Continue through Achakkar Mountain, an exclusive suburb of royal palaces and villas, and over the pine-covered headland to the Cap Spartel Lighthouse (closed), at the northwestern extremity of Africa’s Atlantic Coast. Free time here for a nice refreshment on terrace overview the Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean. On our way back to the city, you will be able to take a few pictures at the fisher men village, and see the camel riders, vegetable’s sellers alongside the beach! Our round trip will finally end up at the Grand socco where old Tangier and new Tangier meet, which is seen as the heart of the city. A picturesque little square surrounded by cafes and hotels that served as second homes to the city’s celebrities – P. Bowles, Jean Genet, Paul Morand Pasolini, and Camille Saint-Saens among others .
