Departing from the Alcantara Gorge, the route continues along dirt roads and nature trails towards Castiglione di Sicilia, a renowned wine town with a breathtaking view of the valley. The route continues in the direction of Linguaglossa, crossing cycle paths from where we can admire the most distant crater of the Etna system, the small volcano of Moio Alcantara, covered with typical Mediterranean plants. Continuing on, we will cross numerous lava flows dating back to eruptions that occurred at different times in Etna's history until we reach one of the many caves, such as the Grotta di Coruccio, and arrive at Piano Provenzana, at an altitude of 1850 metres. For nature enthusiasts, we offer the possibility of visiting the craters formed as a result of the volcano's eruption.
