Fall head over heels for Rio de Janeiro's breathtaking blend of natural scenery and exquisite art during a small-group tour to Corcovado Mountain and Santa Teresa. Soak up outstanding views of the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue, and then check out the inspiring and intricately rendered Selarón Steps.

Begin by traveling a short distance to Corcovado Mountain. Set within the Tijuca Forest National Park, Corcovado's peak towers an impressive 2,300 feet (700 m) above the bustling metropolis. Here, behold the iconic Christ the Redeemer statue—a symbol of Christianity worldwide and a New 7 Wonders of the World.

From here, head north toward the bohemian neighborhood of Santa Teresa. Glimpse eclectic homes and lanes filled with art studios and galleries en route to the Selarón Steps. Forged by the Chilean-born artist and world-traveler Jorge Selarón, the steps are a tribute to the people of Brazil. Here, note thousands of tiles from all over the world in a dazzling blue, red, green and yellow installation referred to by locals as the Escadaria Selarón.

After spending some time visiting the steps and taking pictures from different sections and angles, it's time to head back to your hotel.
