District Six
The ancient township of District Six was previously home to over 60 000 people, the vast majority of whom were of African descent and lived in abject poverty.

Langa
One of the oldest townships in South Africa.

The Jo Slovo Informal Settlement
This settlement lies within Langa township.

Bonteheuwel
The first Coloured, state-rental township established in Cape Town.

Gugulethu
A vast township that’s home to a predominantly Black community. Even though Gugulethu is still a township with severe poverty, the community is vibrant, kind, and hospitable.
