What you can expect

Our starting point will be the small children's playground right next to the church.
So I'll start with the explanation of the church and the explanation of “Rest”. We will then head towards the Place des Diligences for more detailed explanations about the seigneurial heart.
We will go up a small street to observe the castle on the heights of the village, and I will be able to explain the importance of tuffeau extraction during the 19th century and the evolution of the castle over the centuries.
I will then take you along a small path made of “vineyard stones” to discover the ruins of a “church”.
In front of her house, I will tell you the story of the Lady of Montsoreau.
Then we will go down to the banks of the Loire, where I will explain the entire history of the barge industry, its harbors, and the Montsoreau Bridge.
We will end with the dry moat of the castle, finishing the tour in front of it for those who wish to visit it immediately. Otherwise, I will accompany you back to our starting point, sharing a few final local anecdotes on our way back.
