Overview

  • This tour of the city is highlighted for offering a deeper and more specific cultural immersion in the historic center of Arequipa, with special emphasis on the emblematic Monastery of Santa Catalina de Siena. Unlike more general city tours, this experience prioritizes the detailed narration of colonial life, religious art, and the daily life of the nuns in an authentic “city within a city.”

Another key difference is the combination of carefully selected heritage sites, instead of a long list of stops. In addition to Santa Catalina, emblematic places such as the Church of the Society of Jesus are also visited, resulting in a more select and meaningful cultural tour.

In general, it is a deeper and more educational experience, ideal for travelers who wish to understand the history, architecture, and identity of Arequipa in a relaxed, well-guided, and story-focused way.
