Actually, The Wulong Area has two parts, the three natural bridges and the Longshui gorge.These two scenic spots both feature unique karst landscapes. One's grand and spectacular, the other is quiet and serene. The visual impacts are totally different! The three natural bridges are natural stone arch bridges formed by the mountain. They're the world's largest group of natural bridges.
The Longshui Gorge is a long and narrow underground rift. It's 200 to 500 meters deep and only a few to dozens of meters wide. The rock walls on both sides are so steep that they're almost vertical, creating a deep and secluded “strip of sky” view. Inside there, there are underground rivers, waterfalls (like the Galaxy Waterfall with a drop of 80 meters), stalactites and primitive vegetation.

Chongqing Region

Get started from downtown Chongqing at 0730, that would helps to avoid rush hour and buy us more excursion time. After 3 hours driving we'll pull over in highway rest area and take a simple quick early lunch for better timming, then drive to the tourist reception center. Upon arrival we need to take interior shuttle bus, which is mandatory for enviromental preservation. The ticket for both the national park and shuttle bus should be purchased here. After a 10 min bus ride we get to our primary site-natural born triple bridge. The admission fare for both Wulong Geological National Park and the interior shuttle bus is 125 yuan per adult.

Then move to Tiankeng, A giant sinkhole, also named the natural triple bridge), the primary sector of Wulong Karst Geological National Park. It's actually a grand valley throughs 3 ridges with naturaly formed sink holes, look just like 3 huge bridges. It's also the only site listed on World Heritage List by UNESCO. We firstly will take an 80 meters high cliff side viewing elevator to get down to the bottom Then we take a hiking tour through the giant sinkhole links all scenic spots including movie scenes of Transformer IV. The highlight is unique and magnificent natural landscape. The hiking takes approximately 2 hours, moderate intensity.

Longshui Gorge is a spectacular natural canyon located in Wulong District, Chongqing, China. Formed by ancient geological movements, it features towering cliffs, cascading waterfalls, and a narrow, winding fissure stretching over 5 kilometers. Visitors can walk along suspended walkways to admire the lush greenery, karst formations, and the crystal-clear stream below. A hidden gem near the famous Furong Cave, it offers a thrilling escape into nature’s raw beauty.

Drive all the way back home. The ride from Wulong National Park to downtown Chongqing takes 3 hours one way, excursion on two sites requies 3 hours, thus we suggest travelers to take an early simple lunch in highway rest area for a smoothier experience inside Wulong National Park. The adult admission fare for both attractions areas is 260 in total.(might differ on seasons） This fee covers interior shuttle bus and a viewing elevator ticket This entrance fee and other personal spendings as street foods or souvenirs are not included in the trip price. Plz make sure you bring cash with you or be able to purchase with your card or wechat account or Alipay. We highly recommend you to get your online payment methods ready for your China tour.
