A FLOWERY EFFECT ON LAKE MAGGIORE

Today’s walk is absolutely wonderful: we start from Cannobio and will visit the medieval village of Carmine Superiore before reaching Cannero Riviera. Please do not forget your camera!

Leaving Cannobio we head towards the path which leads to the castle-like village of Carmine Superiore cut out of the rocks with its Romanesque church and frescoes. A walk half-way up the hill with a breathtaking view on the lake surrounded by Mediterranean vegetation. After the visit at the church further on towards Cannero Riviera with a glance at the legendary castles which emerge from the lake and walk along the centre of Cannero where we will meet our boat to return to Cannobio.
