Once all guests are comfortably seated in our vehicle, our exciting day begins! We’ll drive through the western part of Zagreb, cross the Sava River, and after about a 40-minute drive, reach the border with Slovenia. Due to possible border control, please have your travel documents ready (passports or ID cards if you’re from the EU). We have another 2.5-hour drive ahead of us to reach our first destination – Lake Bohinj. For the most part, we’ll be driving on the highway, and on a clear day, we’ll be treated to stunning views of the majestic Slovenian Alps.

Our first destination is the stunning Savica Waterfall. This beautiful waterfall, one of the most famous in Slovenia, cascades down 78 meters into a crystal-clear pool. It is located in the heart of the Triglav National Park, about a 20-minute hike from the parking area. The hike takes you through lush forested paths and up approximately 500 steps, requiring a moderate level of physical fitness. This journey offers a chance to immerse yourself in nature. For those who prefer not to hike to the waterfall, you can spend your time relaxing by the peaceful shores of Lake Bohinj. Take a leisurely stroll, enjoy a coffee at a nearby café, or simply soak in the tranquil alpine atmosphere. Whether you choose the hike or some lakeside relaxation, you’ll have time to enjoy the beauty of this natural wonder.

After visiting the waterfall, we will take a boat ride from Ukanc to Ribčev Laz. During the journey, you’ll be treated to stunning views of the surrounding mountains and lush greenery, as well as glimpses of the pristine waters of Lake Bohinj. Keep an eye out for local wildlife and enjoy the serene atmosphere of this picturesque area. Once we arrive at Ribčev Laz, you will have some free time to enjoy a coffee and take a short stroll along the lake, soaking in the beautiful scenery. The price for the boat ride is not included; admission starts at €9, with prices varying depending on the time of year.

After visiting Lake Bohinj, we will head to Lake Bled, where we will first stop for a lunch break.

Lake Bled is a breathtaking destination known for its enchanting scenery, featuring a shimmering emerald lake surrounded by dense forests and the majestic Julian Alps. The highlight of the lake is Bled Island, home to the iconic Church of the Assumption, which boasts a striking bell tower and offers stunning panoramic views of the area. During your visit, guests will have an hour and a half to take a ride on a traditional pletna boat to Bled Island, allowing them to experience the charm of this serene location firsthand. As you glide across the crystal-clear waters, you’ll be captivated by the picturesque surroundings. For those who prefer to explore on foot, you can enjoy an hour and a half of free time to wander around the lakeshore, visit local shops, or relax in one of the charming cafés, soaking in the tranquil atmosphere of this beautiful destination.

Bled Castle, perched on a cliff overlooking Lake Bled, offers visitors a glimpse into the region's rich history and breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. Guests will have one hour to explore the castle's fascinating museum, stunning viewpoints, and lovely gardens; alternatively, they can enjoy their free time engaging in activities of their choice around the lake.
