The journey begins a few kilometers above the village of Entre-deux at 1,100m, starting from the La Chapelle trail. Ascending through a forest of endemic trees reveals a landscape typical of the heights of western Reunion.

At the summit of Dimitile, a breathtaking panorama of the Cilaos circus unfolds. At the base of the summit, we visit the “camp marron,” a reconstruction honoring the escaped slaves who sought refuge in the island's highlands.

After a refreshing picnic break, we descend through the pleasant Dubard trail, consistently offering beautiful views of the island's southern coast.
