The Original Local Experience with the first local team guiding visitors through the Fagradalsfjall eruption area since the first eruption in 2021.
Explore Iceland's newest volcanic landscapes with guides from Grindavík and Keflavík who experienced the eruptions firsthand. Walk across fresh lava fields, discover dramatic craters, and see how repeated eruptions have transformed both the land and the local community.
Located just 50 minutes from Reykjavík, this small-group hike takes you through one of Iceland's most active volcanic regions. Every eruption has reshaped the landscape, creating new lava fields, fissures, and volcanic formations that continue to evolve.
Along the way, your guide shares personal stories, local history, geology, and insights you won't find on a self-guided hike. Every tour also includes one small Icelandic surprise.
