Day 1
Salt Lake City–Jackson–Grand Teton National Park–Yellowstone National Park–West Yellowstone
Depart from Salt Lake City and head to Jackson, a classic western town. Visit Jackson Town Square with Elk Antler Arches (60 mins), where arches are made from naturally shed elk antlers. Continue to Grand Teton National Park (60 mins) to admire its snow-capped peaks and glacier lakes like Jackson and Jenny Lake. Then enter Yellowstone National Park (40 mins, stop at West Thumb Geyser Basin)—home to majestic mountains, geysers, and Yellowstone Lake. Overnight in West Yellowstone.
Notes:

East Gate opens 05/02/2026. Before that, Upper/Lower Falls, Artist Point, Hayden Valley, Mud Volcano, Fishing Bridge, and West Thumb Geyser are closed.

South Gate opens 05/10/2026; West Thumb Geyser not accessible 05/02–05/09.

Itinerary

West Yellowstone –Yellowstone National Park (7 hours, stop at Norris Geyser Basin, Steamboat Geyser, Canyon Village, Upper Falls, Artist Point, Hayden Valley, Mud Volcano, Fishing Bridge, Old Faithful Geyser, Fountain Paint Pot, Morning Glory Pool and other attractions. The scenic spot arrangement will be based on the actual situation of the day The situation is subject to adjustment, please refer to the actual arrangement) – West Yellowstone

1. The East Gate of Yellowstone National Park is expected to open on 05/02/2026. Before that, the following attractions: Upper and Lower Falls, Artist Point, Hayden Canyon, Mud Volcano, Fishing Bridge, West Thumb Geyser will not be accessible. Please understand.
2. The South Gate of Yellowstone National Park is expected to open on 05/10/2026. Therefore, West Thumb Geyser will not be accessible from 05/02/2026 to 05/09/2026. Please understand.
