The Granada Los Cahorros guided afternoon hiking tour is a 6-hour tour to the Mirador de Los Cahorros area, located in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. The trekking part of the tour lasts for 3 hours.
A local guide will meet you at the Donkey Monument at Plaza de la Romanilla and take you to the transportation point to reach the area of Los Cahorros. The trip takes around 30 minutes. Once you arrive, the rest of the tour will be on foot.
First, the guide will lead the group to the depths of the Mirador de Los Cahorros by following the Monachil River. The path will be steep and uphill until you reach the peak of Mirador de Los Cahorros, which offers a stunning view. The group can pause here to rest and enjoy the snacks provided by the guide, along with the panoramic views of the surrounding landscape.
Then, the tour will continue downhill to explore the surrounding waterfalls. On the way, you will encounter the Cueva de Las Palomas, a narrow cave you will need to crawl under. Once the group reaches the waterfalls, you can take another rest and bathe under some of the waterfalls.
After visiting the waterfalls, the guide will lead the group to its return journey, where you will cross a long, hanging bridge, walk along rocky terrain, and climb short distances when necessary.
Once the group reaches the transportation spot, if there is time, the local tour guide might stop by a tapas bar to have a quick tapas.
On this tour, you will be able to discover the hidden gems in the Los Cahorros area. You will witness stunning views of the landscapes, bathe under natural waterfalls, walk, crawl, and climb, all while a local guide leads you to the hidden paths and informs you about the surroundings.
