Just north of Lyon, venture into this lush, hilly region, known for its famed Beaujolais Nouveau wine and golden-stone architecture.

Join your driver-guide on a cultural and gourmet adventure, including an introduction to wine and tasting sessions with local winemakers. Travel through scenic landscapes where villages glow in warm golden stones, and enjoy panoramic roads through the vineyards and valleys of the Pierres Dorées area.

We will then take advantage of this authentic setting to enjoy an introduction to wine-tasting at a charming family-run winery in the heart of the Pierres Dorées. Your guide will share their passion for wine and explain the notion of “terroir”, which is behind the uniqueness of the different vineyards. The visit will be followed by a tasting of the estate’s wines, accompanied by a traditional Lyon “mâchon” of local cold meats and cheeses.

You will then continue towards Montmelas, in the Beaujolais Villages appellation, to visit a second family-owned winery. There, the winemaker will open the doors of the cellar, share their craft and invite you to taste a carefully selected range of authentic Beaujolais wines.
