Are your kids keen to Get Wet? These kids-only surf lessons are for little groms who want to try their hand at surfing without those pesky adults killing their mojo. Surfing is a great sport for all ages and these sessions are designed to give kids a taste of surfing and hopefully they love it and want to come back for more.

These classes are strictly for 6 to 12 year olds and they are run on weekends and throughout school holidays. Kids-only classes are run with a low coach-to-participant ratio of 4:1 to ensure maximum amounts of both safety and fun.

In this lesson, instructors will cover the following:

• Identifying the parts of the surf board and equipment
• Basic surf awareness
• Recognizing hazards in the surf
• Learning the steps to standing on a board
• Riding a broken wave in the white wash assisted by the instructor
• How to fall off safely in the shallows

Who can join the class?

• Any child between 6 and 12 years can join this class.
• Children under 6 will not be able to join and are recommended to take a private lesson.
• No swimming ability is necessary. The lesson is conducted in waist-deep water but you must be strong enough to hold onto your own surf board (parents may assist with this).
• All levels of fitness are welcome to join as you can participate at your own pace.
• Any child with a medical condition or previous injury is recommended to seek the advice of your physician.
