Begin your tour at Ogaki Station and walk to Ogaki Castle, the base of the Western Army during the Battle of Sekigahara. Explore the 4-story castle, which was rebuilt in 1959 after being destroyed in World War II. Discover exhibits and dioramas that explain the battle, and enjoy panoramic views of Ogaki City and Sekigahara from the castle tower.

Next, visit the Ogaki Spring Water, a natural spring located in the Hachiman Shrine. This spring, which was developed in 2004, gushes out water from a depth of 125 meters. Many people collect this soft and delicious water in bottles to take home.

In the afternoon, take a train to Sekigahara, the sacred ground of the Sengoku period. Visit the Sekigahara History and Folklore Museum, where you can watch powerful videos that reveal the truth about the Battle of Sekigahara. Then, walk around the battlefield, visiting sites such as Sasao Mountain, Tokugawa Ieyasu’s final camp, and the final battle site.
