Perkara yang anda boleh jangka

Your experience begins in the charming village of Mukhrani, where Georgia’s musical traditions are deeply rooted. Upon arrival at the Culture House, you’ll be welcomed by Ani and Mamuka—two passionate local musicians and teachers. They’ll introduce you to the Panduri, a traditional three-stringed Georgian instrument, and teach you how to play simple melodies, even if you’ve never played an instrument before.

As you learn, you’ll hear the fascinating history of Georgia’s UNESCO-listed polyphonic singing—how it reflects key stages of life such as weddings, love, and celebrations. Ani and Mamuka will sing and demonstrate these songs, inviting you to join in and feel the rhythms of the region’s ancient vocal harmonies.

You’ll also discover the cultural context of Mukhrani—its unique musical heritage and the role music plays in community life. Between lessons, enjoy short stories about the songs’ meanings and how they’ve been passed down through generations.

This workshop isn’t just about music—it’s about connecting with Georgia’s living traditions, its warm hospitality, and its vibrant cultural soul. Whether you're musically inclined or just curious, this hands-on session will leave you with lasting memories and a deeper understanding of Georgian folk culture.

At the end of your experience, you’ll receive a special souvenir: a flash drive with recordings of traditional Georgian folk music to take home and relive the magic of authentic music.
