Board a bus from Geneva to Chamonix-Mont-Blanc and, in just 90 minutes, arrive in this charming Alpine village surrounded by breathtaking mountain scenery.
In the morning, take the cable car up to the summit. At over 3,842 meters, marvel at the majestic Mont Blanc and the spectacular peaks that surround you. If you’re feeling adventurous, step into the void for a truly unforgettable experience. Three glass walls, a glass floor, and a glass ceiling create the sensation of standing over 1,000 meters of empty space beneath your feet — completely safe, yet utterly thrilling. From here, admire the highest peaks in Western Europe and enjoy a dramatic view of the Bossons Glacier, which has the greatest descent in Europe.
Capture stunning photos from one of the many panoramic terraces, or warm up with a coffee from the shop. Return to the village and enjoy some free time to relax and absorb the experience before boarding the Montenvers Mountain Train to discover the Mer de Glace (Sea of Ice), the largest glacier in France and famously featured in Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
If open (not guaranteed), descend the steps to visit the Ice Caves. Explore the museum and take in the views from the panoramic terrace before heading back.
