What you can expect

At the appointed time, we will meet in front of the Casa do Benin Museum to begin this gastronomic tour of Salvador. Are you ready?

After a brief introduction about the cuisine of Salvador, which is known as the Black Rome, we will begin a tour of the Santo Antônio neighborhood. We will see its colorful streets and then head to the Casa da Vovó restaurant, where we will taste acarajé. This recipe, made with bean dough, was declared an Intangible Cultural Heritage of Salvador.

The next stop will be at the Zanzibar restaurant. At this establishment, which is always frequented by Bahian artists who sing the songs of Caetano Veloso and Gilberto Gil, we will have a typical drink. It's a ginger smoothie, which we'll taste while enjoying traditional music from northeastern Brazil.

Finally, after a three-hour journey, we will conclude this gastronomic route through Salvador at Bar Ulisses. There, we will eat a traditional dish, which, depending on the season, will be moqueca, feijoada, or cozido. Bon appetit!
