Learn to cook traditional Sri Lankan dishes during a cooking class at the Galle House. Join a local host in the kitchen to prepare a meal and enjoy it together in the traditional way.

Begin your experience with a warm welcome at the Galle House. Take part in a traditional oil-lamp lighting ceremony and receive a beautiful flower bouquet.

Step into the family kitchen and be greeted by the inviting aroma of spices. Join your host in preparing traditional dishes. Together, grind fresh coconut for sambol and roll roti by hand.

Once the dishes are ready, sit down to enjoy the meal in the traditional way—eating with your hands on a banana leaf. Share stories and laughter with the family over the feast you helped create.
