Discover the journey to Neuschwanstein, not just the castle.
Instead of taking the bus straight to the castle, join a local guide for a scenic walk from Füssen's old town to Neuschwanstein, combining historic sights, forests, lakes, waterfalls and spectacular Alpine scenery.
Along the way, discover the Lechfall, walk through peaceful woodland and around Schwansee and Alpsee, enjoy beautiful views of the Alps and castle, and finally reach Neuschwanstein castle and the Marienbrücke on foot.
This is more than simply following a path. Your local guide brings the landscape and history to life with stories about Füssen, King Ludwig II, the Bavarian royal family and the origins of the castle, while showing you viewpoints and photo spots that most visitors miss.
