Journey through the incredible history of Hue, the former imperial capital of Vietnam. This tour takes you to visit its grand historical attractions, including the Imperial City, the Forbidden Purple City, the Emperor's private residence, Perfume River, Thien Mu Pagoda, and the Tomb of Khai Dinh.

A ride from your hotel carries you out of Hoi An to begin your visit to Hue. Make your first start at the citadel of the Imperial City, a UNESCO World Heritage Siteand grand historical landmark. Check out the Forbidden Purple City and the private residence of the Nguyen dynasty's emperors, and then break for lunch before embarking on a boat ride that carries you on the Perfume River.

Step ashore for a visit to the Thien Mu pagoda, an unofficial symbol of the city and an active Buddhist monastery with origins that date back to 1601. See a car that belonged to a monk who set himself on fire to protest the cruel treatment of Buddhists by the government of South Vietnam, and then check out the elaborate blend of Western and Eastern architecture at the tomb of Emperor Khai Dinh before you set off on the return trip to Hoi An.
