The Museum of Northern Cultures opened its doors on February 26, 1996 and houses one of the most beautiful archaeological collections of Ancient Mexico recovered during the excavations of Paquimé and other important archaeological sites in the region made up of Northern Mexico and the Southwest of the United States known as the Great Chichimeca. It is located in a contemporary building, built in 1993 by Arch. Mario Shetjnan.
